Welcome to our MyVestor Spotlight series, where we highlight what makes MyVest so special – our people!

Pallavi Saitu joined the MyVest family five years ago on the People & Culture team as a recruiter. She later transitioned to the Finance team as senior data analyst.

Tell us about your role and career path at MyVest.

I analyze and report on data, and craft dashboards that provide valuable insights for our leaders to help make informed business decisions. Additionally, I manage and implement data governance initiatives for the team.

However, my journey didn’t start here. I was a senior recruiter in the People & Culture team, where I had the opportunity to work with various departments, recruit talented individuals, improve processes, and collaborate with external consultants. This experience allowed me to interact with almost everyone in the company, enhancing my understanding of business operations and people dynamics.

Additionally, I assisted the finance team with data projects, which eventually led to my current role. The transition between teams was smooth, allowing me to seamlessly transfer my knowledge and skills.

What has been your career path? What brought you to this MyVest?

My recruiting journey began in India with Randstad, a global human resources consulting firm, as a consultant. In 2016, I moved to San Francisco to pursue my master’s degree. After a year and a half at a local recruiting firm, I joined MyVest. The decision was easy because I had heard great things about MyVest’s culture and work environment. When I heard there was an opportunity, I immediately applied!

What do you like most about working at MyVest?

MyVest fosters an environment that encourages growth, creativity, and authenticity. The supportive atmosphere here truly makes a difference.

What do you like to do for fun?

When I’m not analyzing data or building dashboards, I’m either exploring new places or channeling my creativity through various art forms such as painting, pottery, and digital drawings. I’m passionate about art and music, and I’m always eager to try new things and learn new art forms. Currently, I’m learning to play the ukulele!

Photography is another hobby I enjoy, with a particular fondness for capturing sunsets. In my opinion, Bay Area offers some of the most beautiful sunsets.

What is your biggest achievement to date — personal or professional?

My greatest achievement to date is moving to the U.S. and making it my home. Starting from scratch is never easy, particularly when you’ve previously succeeded elsewhere. The process of leaving behind old habits and embracing new lifestyles was both challenging and fulfilling. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I have come across and the wonderful friends I have made during this journey!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

As a fan of Pixar movies, one of my favorite quotes is from Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story: “To infinity and beyond!” It reminds me to embrace endless possibilities and strive for continuous growth.

Another phrase I really like is from Anton Ego in Ratatouille: “A great artist can come from anywhere.” This resonates with my belief that talent and creativity know no boundaries.

What would you do if you weren’t doing this?

I would devote more time to community service, with the goal of spreading happiness through art. I’ve always dreamed of owning a cafe, where I could organize painting nights for the elderly.
