Welcome to our MyVestor Spotlight series, where we highlight what makes MyVest so special – our people!

Kenyatta Clark is one of the architects on the Investment Management program team and has been with MyVest for two years. Investment Management is responsible for portfolio rebalancing, optimization, order generation and trading in our Strategic Portfolio System (SPS) platform.

What does your job entail?

I design, debug, and conduct performance analysis on proposed solutions to our platform. I provide technical leadership by providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle, and collaborating closely with both the product and engineering teams. My role allows me to contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment.

What do you like most about working at MyVest?

What I love most about MyVest is the people. The people of MyVest make it a vibrant community where learning and a sense of belonging go hand in hand. Secondly, what makes MyVest awesome is our mission of securing the financial future of families through personalized wealth management. This is very easy to get behind. This mission serves as a constant reminder that our daily efforts directly impact the financial well-being of real families.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My family taught me to always work hard, stay humble, and be kind.

Being the absolute best at something is elusive and rare. However, dedication and hard work can bridge the gap between exceptional talent and aspiring excellence. Being humble is acknowledging that achievements are seldom solitary. They are the summation of support from family and community. It is a reminder that success doesn’t equate to knowing it all. There is always room to learn from anyone, every single day. Practicing kindness is a fundamental virtue. It doesn’t demand much. Simple gestures like smiling or asking about someone’s day can go a long way.

What would you do if you weren’t doing this?

If I wasn’t doing what I do now, I would love to be a teacher or volunteer more.

Sharing knowledge and empowering others is incredibly rewarding. Teaching, for me, is not just about imparting information but nurturing critical thinking, fostering curiosity, and igniting a passion for lifelong learning in individuals.

Volunteering allows me to contribute directly to causes I care about. Currently, I participate in youth mentoring and local food sharing programs. I would most likely expand my efforts there.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love spending time with my family. It really doesn’t matter what we do. We enjoy time together — traveling, eating, playing games, and watching movies.
