We’re thrilled to announce the promotion of Joel Derstine to the MyVest leadership team as Vice President of Customer Success. Prior to this role, Joel was an integral member of our Customer Delivery team, most recently as Senior Director of Customer Integrations.
As VP of Customer Success, Joel works with our customers to ensure they are fully leveraging all that MyVest has to offer, from our flagship software platform, the Strategic Portfolio System (SPS), to our delivery of operational services, reporting, training, and more.
“Each customer engagement is approached as a partnership, built on a foundation of trust and empathy,” says Joel. “SPS doesn’t exist in a vacuum, but functions as a crucial component within the wealth management enterprise. The crux of my role is to understand how and why they’re using SPS, and to help them continuously improve the experience over time.”
Joel has over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry on both the vendor side, where he served as a director for application development with Fiserv (now Tegra 118), and in the consulting arena, working with firms like Pershing, JP Morgan Chase, and AllianceBernstein, among others.
Prior to joining MyVest, he founded Groundwork Solutions, a consulting company focused on helping firms design, develop, and implement exceptional and supportable wealth management software and processes. Joel has an MS in Computer Science from The University of Chicago, an MS in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Mathematics from Messiah University.
